The first study year is characterized by a broad offer in disciplinary education that builds on and extends the students’ entrance qualification. ECE Students select introductory modules with a total of 45 CP from the CHOICE area. The Department actively organizes special lectures, seminars, training, tutorials, workshops, and study tours for its students. The Department of Computer Engineering is dedicated to providing the students with the best quality of teaching, state of the art lab facilities, and research and development environment. What will I experience?

Originating in 1937, ASIS&T provides a platform for computer engineering professionals to discuss issues and policies related to the field. Membership provides access to the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, a highly regarded scholastic journal in the field. AWC promotes diversity in the field by supporting women in computer science. This organization provides networking, recognition, education, and mentoring opportunities through its many local chapters. AWC also bestows the Ada Lovelace Award to women who have made outstanding achievements in the field. The IEEE forms a global community dedicated to improving the lives of people through technology.

MA-UY 2034 is an introduction to ordinary differential equations and linear algebra. The course develops the techniques for the analytic and numeric solutions of ordinary differential equations that are widely used in modern engineering and science. Linear algebra is used as a tool for solving systems of linear equations as well as for understanding the structure of solutions to linear of differential equations.

What do computer engineers do?

A computer engineering degree combines electrical engineering and computer science courses, both needed to be a computer engineer. However, some employers will accept a degree in computer science or electrical engineering. Some engineering students participate in an intern program while earning their degree to have work experience upon graduation.
